ABOUT SOL GROUP
In early 2011 Christchurch colleagues Simon Apperley and Ben Dormer formed SOL Shingle Ltd and SOL Screening & Crushing Ltd. These companies were the foundation of a successful aggregate processing and retail business.
Building on this sound base, Simon and Ben were joined in 2014 by Richie McCaw, ex-All Black Captain, and Michael Watt, the Christchurch raised, UK based businessman and philanthropist in the establishment of SOL Quarries Ltd.
In mid 2018 SOL purchased South Canterbury Screening and Crushing Ltd, giving the company greater reach as well as resources in the Mackenzie District, North Otago along with a quarry in Dunedin.
The reputation of the SOL Group of companies is a direct result of a demonstrated commitment to quality and safety. SOL Group management and staff take pride in the fact that every job undertaken to date has been completed to the highest standards of workmanship, and in a manner which demonstrates the highest health and safety standards.
